To allow deer hunting on the refuge, the refuge closes to other visitors periodically during hunting seasons.  In the past, these were partial closures, but now the entire refuge is closed to everyone except hunters on the three hunting days.  All trails and the auto tour route are closed on these days.  The Visitor Center remains open and accessible to all.

Shotgun: November 15th

Antlerless December 18th
